A special afternoon at the RSA San Riccardo Pampuri in Morimondo with Andrea Cherchi (new Ambrogino d'Oro) – 12/01/2025
On Sunday 12 January, Rotary and Rotaract Morimondo Abbazia organized a unique event at the RSA San Riccardo Pampuri in Morimondo. The protagonist of the meeting was Andrea Cherchi, famous photographer and founder of the "Simply Milan" project, a Facebook page followed by over 200,000 people.
Andrea Cherchi, through his extraordinary photographs, tells the story of the beauty and soul of Milan, making the city accessible and fascinating for anyone, even for those who cannot visit it in person. For years, in fact, Andrea has been carrying out cultural dissemination initiatives, sharing his images with the disabled and elderly guests of the RSAs. A commitment that recently earned him the prestigious Ambrogino d'Oro award, a symbol of excellence and dedication towards the Milanese community.
A moment of emotion and sharing
The event in Morimondo was a special occasion, not only for the residents of the RSA, but also for all the staff. “Within a few months Andrea returned to Morimondo again, this time for a Service of great impact, and we are truly happy to have had him with us", declared one of the Rotary representatives. "Seeing the attention and interest of the RSA guests while Andrea described the 'new' Milan through his photographs was touching. And as a perfect conclusion, we all sang 'Oh Mia Bela Madunina' together, creating a moment of great unity and joy.”
A constant commitment to the RSA
For years, Rotary and Rotaract Morimondo Abbazia have been carrying out projects within the RSA San Riccardo Pampuri, with the aim of offering moments of culture, entertainment and inclusion to guests. This year, thanks to the collaboration with Andrea Cherchi, the result was particularly significant: a concrete example of how culture and art can bring people together and enrich their days. Heartfelt thanks were addressed to the staff of the RSA San Riccardo Pampuri, always available and motivated to collaborate for the success of these initiatives. “A special bond has been established with them, based on the common desire to do more and more for the guests of the facility", concluded President Davide Carnevali - RC Morimondo.
