Giorgia Mainini from Abbiategrasso winner of the national rotary legality and culture of ethics competition, third place for Yuri Valentini from Motte

[Article by Silvia Lodi Pasini published in Settegiorni] – First and third place overall for the two students from Abbiatense who participated in the XIV national competition “Legality and Culture of Ethics” organized by all the Italian Rotary Districts and extended to all schools on the peninsula.

Giorgia Mainini, a student from Abbiategrasso at the Istituto Comprensivo di via Palestro, which had the Rotary Abbiategrasso as its sponsor Club, placed first overall out of over 2200 participants, while Yuri Valentini, a middle school student from the Istituto Comprensivo Ada Negri di Motta Visconti-Besate sponsored by RC Morimondo Abbazia, came third, equal with Giulia Raisi from Mantua Sud. With Giorgia and Yuri from Abbiatense is the best overall in District 2050. It is no coincidence that the governor Massimiliano Pini participated in the award ceremony for Giorgia Mainini, which took place in the headquarters of the RC Abbiategrasso, in the presence of the president Pietro Grassi and his counterpart from the Rac, Marcello Gorla, as well as the teacher Veronica Pacciarini, Giorgia's teacher at the IC via Palestro. The delivery of the diploma of the third arrival to Yuri Valentini, however, took place directly at the middle school of Motta, by the president of the RC Morimondo Abbazia, Davide Carnevali, and his wife Vanessa Locatelli, in the presence of the school director of the IC "Ada Negri". For the Rotary of Morimondo this is the second consecutive success, given that last year it placed another student, Ludovica Lattanzio, also from Motta, on the highest podium. An excellent result that underlines the goodness of the happy union between local schools and Rotary to deepen and develop the culture of Legality. The Italian Districts of Rotary International, in fact, with the "Legality and Culture of Ethics" competition they intend to encourage positive actions in society, and especially among young people, for the development of an ethical conscience, aware and consistent with the principles of legality. For the school director of the IC "Ada Negri", Antonella Bianco, an unexpected excellent result: "I am very happy with the result obtained by the student, which also confirms the excellence of our teachers. Thanks to the Morimondo Rotary for the training opportunity it offered us".
