Rotary Club Morimondo Abbey

With these words Martina Forti, president of the Morimondo Abbazia Rotary Club, comments on the results of the Padel Tournament held over the last weekend at the Boschetto Village in Abbiategrasso. With twenty-four players participating, the initiative, carried out in an experimental form, proved to be an interesting and appreciated novelty in the sporting and not only that. The charity Padel Tournament for Telefono allowed 500 euros to be raised, net of expenses. Of these, 240 euros were collected through the charity dinner for women only which took place on Thursday 5 March, in which the Lombardy Region councilor Silvia Scurati also participated, who is unfortunately constantly growing, and which in numbers demonstrates its importance in curbing the phenomenon of violence against women Donna, which is based in Magenta, in Abbiategrasso is called "Antenna Desk". In 2025 the total number of accesses to the Magenta Anti-Violence Center and the Abbiategrasso Antenna Desk was 191, with 141 intakes (42 in Abbiategrasso and 99 in Magenta). loaded in Abbiategrasso and 36 in Magenta I placements in shelters with a secret address in 2025 were 7 in total. There were 35 women with access through the emergency room. The services provided were: 141 reception interviews, 401 operational meetings, 490 psychological support interviews, 999 monitoring, 162 legal consultancy, 34 employment consultancy and 1400 contacts with the police and other local services. Most of the women are Italian, employed, in the 31-40 and 41-50 age groups, with a secondary school diploma. The authors of the acts of violence against them are compatriots.
