At the famous Della Commenda Restaurant in Morimondo, on 8 May 2013, our friend President Ambrogio handed over the Charter to our new Rotary Club Morimondo Abbey directly from the hands of our District Governor, Eng. Armando Angeli Duodo, a member of the Rotary Club Mantua since 1971 who, to date, has matured a Rotary seniority of 41 years, among the greatest in the District 2050.

As a testimony of the evening, we publish the letter that has reached us from the Partner and friend Vittorio Sozzi, who in a few words has managed to express the common feeling that we have all been able to live.

The friendship, enthusiasm, participation of the members of the new RC Morimondo Abbazia. You made a difference and moved an old Rotarian. From Gabriella to Mariangela,from Graziella to Carlantonia and others Milena (and I apologize to those who I didn't mention, but I still know you too little) everyone contributed one simplicity of shared participation to the success of the event, Federico he was rewarded for his enormous effort in managing the event even against the rudeness of the guests who canceled (when at least they did) or even just didn't show up, after perhaps joining at the last minute.
Friendship, enthusiasm And participation are the tracks on which the TAV branded Morimondo Abbazia will run in the future too: I can testify to you the sincere admiration of many former governors and Rotarians who I have known for years in the District who wanted to compliment me by expressing their amazement at finding a new club, but already with so many qualities of "Rotarian values" so evident and expressed.
This Morimondo Abbazia testified: measure (also in the conciseness of the presentations of new members) reaction capacity (to the many sudden and upheavals caused by defections) management skills (from the sudden changes of program requested by the Governor, from the circumstances of the participants forced to leave us early due to commitments, from the kitchen commitments).
Please believe that in me, in addition to the admiration for my fellow Club members, there was the pleasure and pride of being part of that new Rotarian team, that legion(to use Father Mauro's words) who accepted and wanted me as a partner.
Many times in life one believes that one's cycle is almost over, that one has seen everything or experienced everything. Instead, last night's emotions sincerely gave me the desire to say that being and staying in a Rotary like this is so enjoyable that I want to stay there... for another 25 years. My wish for all of us is that always at our Club meetings and for every member, in every meeting, on every occasion it will be easy and natural to say the phrase that opens the illustration of the Abbey. “It's nice to be here”.
Thanks to Ambrogio: his precious guidance and his long Rotary experience will help us to make the right plans, to overcome the inevitable difficulties, to increase the success of RC Morimondo Abbazia in District 2050.
