“Boomers and Artificial Intelligence” – 08/10/2025
An engaging and interesting evening that took place on 8 October 2025 at the headquarters of the Morimondo Abbazia Rotary Club. Special guest, Paride Ripoldi, a professional who has been working in the field of Artificial Intelligence for years, guided those present on a fascinating journey between past and future, with a theme with a curious and captivating title: “Boomers and AI: artificial intelligence explained to those who have seen floppy disks”.
Ripoldi was able to weave together anecdotes, practical examples and profound reflections, making a topic often perceived as complex accessible. He recalled how technological evolution, from the first computers to modern machine learning algorithms, has transformed society and the very way of thinking.
His informative approach was particularly appreciated, capable of putting a heterogeneous audience at ease, combining irony and competence. During the meeting we talked about ChatGPT, digital ethics and the opportunities that AI also offers to generations not born in the digital era.
The evening ended with a lively debate, a sign of the interest aroused by the speaker and his ability to bring different worlds into dialogue. An event that demonstrated how curiosity and the desire to understand have no age.
