Rotary Training Aperitif at Villa Umberto (Abbiategrasso) – 19/01/2026

On 19/01/2026, at Villa Umberto in Abbiategrasso, an evening of great educational value was held for new members of the Morimondo Abbey Rotary Club, entirely focused on knowledge and insight into the Rotary world.
The meeting was led by Eng. Sergio Dulio, Past Governor of the District 2050 and current district trainer, a figure of absolute prestige and long experience within Rotary.
During the evening, Eng. Dulio proposed a real overview of Rotary, starting from its historical origins up to contemporary reality.
A first focus was dedicated to the founders and the values that inspired the birth of the association.
Subsequently, the routes of action, the areas of intervention and the inspiring principles that guide the work of Rotarians in the world were illustrated.
Ample space was reserved for the "four questions", the ethical pillar of Rotarian action.
The speaker then explored the organizational aspects, describing the international structure of Rotary and the fundamental role of the Rotary Foundation.
The analysis continued up to the district and individual club levels, clarifying their functions and responsibilities.
There was no shortage of concrete references to Rotary's numbers: the total membership in the world, the number of clubs and the names of the current international leaders.
A significant passage was dedicated to the contribution of women, who subsequently entered the organization, and to the figure of the first female president.
Great attention was also paid to young people and the programs dedicated to them, such as Interact, Rotaract and Ryla.
The evening proved to be a real "lectio magistralis", capable of offering new members tools of knowledge and awareness.
A precious training moment, designed to strengthen the sense of belonging and stimulate active and responsible participation in the life of the club.
