A fantastic evening full of content, food for thought and testimonies shared with friends of Rotary Lomellina And Rotary Club Cairoli (District 2050).
A heartfelt thank you to the speakers Cristina Rodondi (DRFC 2050), Luciana Stringhini (Subcommitee District Grant 2050) and PDG Maurizio Mantovani (Major Gift Advisor Region 15 Zone 14) who illustrated, in a concise but exhaustive way, all the issues relating to the Rotary Foundation and the various opportunities connected to it.
The Rotary Foundation is the philanthropic organization of Rotary International, founded in 1917 with the aim of promoting peace, fighting disease, supporting education and improving living conditions around the world. Thanks to funds raised by Rotarians around the world, the foundation finances sustainable development, healthcare and humanitarian aid projects, carrying out initiatives in over 200 countries. One of the Rotary Foundation's best-known goals is the eradication of polio, a commitment that has led to a reduction in cases of the disease by 99 percent globally. The foundation stands out for its ability to mobilize resources and work in partnership with other international organizations. Every year, thousands of Rotarians join local and global projects to make a difference in their communities. The Rotary Foundation also promotes exchange and training programs, offering scholarships and opportunities for young people and professionals. With the motto “Service Above Self,” the foundation embodies the heart of Rotary's mission to do good in the world.
