Rotary, a convivial Interclub in the name of "End Polio Now"

An evening dedicated to Rotarian friendship, sharing and humanitarian commitment brought together the Rotary Clubs of the Sforzesco District 2050 Group on Tuesday 27 October 2026, at Villa Necchi Portalupa in Gambolò (PV), for a convivial Interclub dedicated to a theme of great importance: End Polio Now, Rotary's international campaign to eradicate polio.

The guest and speaker of the evening was Dr. Anna Favero, Past District Governor of district 2060, who accompanied those present in a reflection on the importance of prevention and vaccination in the fight against this serious disease.

The meeting represented an important opportunity to explore Rotary's role in the global campaign to eradicate polio, one of the most significant humanitarian initiatives promoted by the organization at an international level.

For over forty years, Rotary has been engaged, together with international partners, in concrete action to protect millions of children from polio, through vaccination campaigns, awareness raising and support for the most vulnerable communities.

Dr. Favero's testimony and intervention offered food for thought on the value of collective responsibility and the importance of not letting our guard down until the final goal is achieved: a world free from polio.

The participation of the Sforzesco Group Clubs confirmed once again how collaboration and the sharing of values are fundamental elements of the Rotarian spirit.

The convivial ended in an atmosphere of friendship and participation, renewing the members' awareness of the motto End Polio Now it is not just a slogan, but a concrete commitment towards future generations.

A commitment that continues to unite Rotarians from all over the world under the sign of service, solidarity and health protection.
