(Article by Silvia Lodi Pasini) – MORIMONDO: parterre des roys last Wednesday at Rc Morimondo Abbazia for the illustrative meeting of the twinning that the club has carried out with Rc Finland Hall in Helsinki. In fact, Augusto Cesar Scorza, elected governor of the most important Rotary District in Brazil, was also there to celebrate with the president Giuseppe Resnati and the club members the significant step that Morimondo is taking just two years after its birth and as if to underline the international character that the club takes on with the twinning. With him at the presidential table also Gianni Jandolo, PDG of District 2050 and president of the Intercountry Committee, who took the opportunity to propose the creation of an Italy-Brazil Intercountry, as well as Angelo Pari, governor elected for the next Rotarian year, with Marco Savini, assistant to the current governor Omar Bortoletti, and also Pierangelo Metrangolo, the Morimondo member who in Helsinki facilitated the contacts for the realization of the twinning. President Resnati, also through the aid of slides, illustrated the mission of the twinning, briefing the entire club on the three days spent on Finnish soil by the delegation that accompanied him and thanking each of its members for the role played in achieving the objective. “Everyone did their part in an excellent way – said the president – testifying how Morimondo Abbazia is now ready to take flight and to take on a significant role in actively bearing witness to the spirit and importance of Rotary in building friendships according to the ideals of its founder Paul Harris. And now we must immediately take action to carry out another twinning". The terms of the new twinning are yet to be defined, but we must swear that President Resnati will do everything to bring home the result within the year of his presidency.
