THE CHRONICLE OF AN EVENT

The 1st Rotary Historica Automoto rally organized by the Rotary Club Morimondo Abbazia District 2050 together with the Classic Club Italia took place on Sunday 14 September and had a noteworthy response and success. The ambitious and excellent program included an interesting guided tour of the Morimondo Monastery by the Abbatia Sancte Marie de Morimundo Foundation and a tour of the countryside of our area with a stop at the Baraggia Roma farm where, thanks to a splendid day, the participants, around 140 people with 50 cars and 10 vintage motorbikes, were able to admire, just 20 km from Milan, a true natural oasis with lakes, swans and water lilies, accompanied by the delights of a tasty aperitif.

Returning to Morimondo, while drivers and companions participated in the lunch featuring typical local dishes, the wonderful vintage cars and motorbikes were the object of admiration by everyone, participants, organizers and anyone who had the opportunity. Obviously the award ceremony for the most beautiful vintage car and motorcycle could not be missed.
Therefore, an undoubted success increased by the fact that the amount collected was entirely donated to the Magica Cleme Foundation, a special little girl in whose memory her parents created the foundation of the same name which pursues the laudable aim of providing help - moral, emotional and economic - to children and young people experiencing serious illnesses, unfortunately accompanied by long periods of hospitalization and invasive therapies for the body and their fragile emotions. Therefore, their participation in the car rally was significant and at the same time joyful.
