DYING – [Art. by Silvia Lodi pasini] – He can finally realize his dream: studying to enter the aeronautics. This is Giovanni C., 18 years old, the boy from Borgarello (PV) orphaned of both parents who the Morimondo Abbazia Rotary club, together with the Rc Pavia Est Terre Viscontee of Belgioioso, helps to study. On Wednesday evening, at the San Bernardo restaurant in Morimondo, home of the club chaired by Giuseppe Resnati, all the parties involved in the "Historica" solidarity project met, aimed at restoring faith in the future to an unfortunate boy, who first had the fate, at just 14 years old, of finding his dead father in the cellar of the family home and, after just two years, also losing his mother to an incurable disease. In the boarding school where he lived for the last two years, the young man had expressed the desire to resume his studies to enter the aeronautics sector, but the economic constraints in which he found himself would have prevented him from covering the costs of the fees of the "A. Locatelli" Aeronautical Institute in Bergamo, which despite his age (he had just become of age) had been willing to place him in a first class. Thus was born the Rotary initiative to organize the "Historica" car rally for him, or to raise the funds that allowed him to start attending school last September. The principal of the Institute, Giuseppe Di Giminiani, the other evening illustrated the boy's educational path, reassuring his Rotarian friends regarding his inclusion in private school. Since the funds raised are barely enough to pay the tuition for half the school year, initiatives have already been launched aimed at continuing the support of the young person, always through the implementation of solidarity initiatives. Proposal shared by both Beppe Resnati and his Pavia Est counterpart Alcandro Paris. What is certain is that the Historica solidarity car rally in September will be proposed again by Morimondo Abbazia, which this time will have RC Abbiategrasso as its partner. And again in Abbiategrasso, in the basement of the Visconti Castle, on the afternoon of Sunday 7 February the Morimondo Abbey is organizing for the second consecutive year a "Burraco Solidarity Tournament" to carry out a project as part of the district literacy campaign. The tournament starts at 2.30pm, with accreditation starting from 2pm (for info and registration: 348.5114388 Monica Speroni – 349.1705765 Oriella Pasini). On the same evening, another service was also completed for the families of the parish of Morimondo, with the delivery of the relevant check to Don Mauro Loi, who thanked the members for "their sensitivity towards those who find themselves in uncertain times".
